Since publishing " A Tale of Two Photographers: A Couple’s Worldly Travels and the Stories Behind Them " in 2018, 5 eventful years have passed. Jianmei Wang and Pingwei Pan have taken another photographic journey around the world. This time, they have collected nearly 200 photographic masterpieces and published " A Tale of Two Photographers: A Couple’s Worldly Travels and the Stories Behind Them, Volume II" Each carefully-selected photograph in this second volume is accompanied by field notes from the authors about the destinations, the experience of getting to them and the awe of witnessing them first hand.
A Tale of Two Photographers, Volume II The book is divided into four sections:
  • The first section, Mountains, lakes, and other scenes of nature contains stunning landscape photos that have been captured over 4 years of travel spanning the globe with stops in Norway, Scotland, Russia, Italy, Kenya, and concluding in a town in southern China.
  • The second section, Night skylines and concrete jungles contrasts well-known urban landmarks with peaceful rural fields in photos taken throughout the United States, China, Britain, Italy, Russia, Kenya, Tanzania, and other countries.
  • The third section, Portraits on and off the stage seeks to show different facets of the human experience including people competing in a surfing competition, people performing on stage, locals attending a festival, herdsmen grazing, and other subjects.

From the authors:

Over the last three years, the world has undergone tremendous changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although it has been a heavy time, there have also been moments of heartfelt joy. Our experiences in recent years have made us realize more deeply that photography is "an inch wide, a mile deep" because of its endless learning and urgent need to forge ahead. We participate in various international competitions, meet many maestros, and contribute to the community discourse.

Our motto is "Just go." As long as there is the possibility of a good itinerary, interesting sights, and a new place, we’ll go without hesitation. As a result, photography keeps us both busy and happy. It has become a top priority to freeze those moments in time so that we can appreciate their beauty. With our motto and passion for photography, we believe that there is still a better journey ahead of us to which we must forge ahead.
